MoMA PS1 reopened on September 17th, with author and Professor of American Studies and Art History at Rutgers University Nicole Fleetwood's exhibit, "Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration." Featuring art made by people in prisons and work by nonincarcerated artists concerned with state repression, erasure, and imprisonment, this major exhibition explores the centrality of incarceration to contemporary art and culture.
